Learn more about Nuevo Leon

Success of the program correlates strongly with upfront company matching and hands-on approach to relationship building. Companies have benefited from participation through increased markets, revenues, products and services.

We work with SMEs in matchmaking initiatives and engaging the Nuevo Leon market. Alberta Innovates and the government of Nuevo Leon’s Secretaria de Economia y Trabajo are seeking to generate economic and social benefits for both Alberta and Nuevo Leon.

Areas of focus

This collaborative program is intended to improve opportunities for joint projects in innovative technology development, and commercialization activities between Alberta and Nuevo Leon in the priority areas of:

  • ICT (mobile, security, Internet of Things, data analytics, interactive digital media, artificial intelligence, and robotics).

Matchmaking events

The goal of a matchmaking event is to help Alberta SMEs find a suitable partner to participate in future Alberta-Mexico International Technology Partnership Program. Some travel support will be available to Alberta SMEs selected to attend the workshops.

Submit an expression of interest

To be eligible, Alberta SMEs must complete an expression of interest (EOI). EOIs are reviewed and used to conduct a preliminary assessment for a potential partner match. Companies will be contacted directly regarding upcoming matchmaking events.
