Global Partnerships facilitates programs designed to support SMEs from Alberta and partnering jurisdictions in Mexico and China. SMEs enter into a joint project to develop and commercialize novel technological solutions that address a defined market needand generate economic and social benefits in both jurisdictions and globally.

- Alberta-Jalisco Innovation and Commercialization Program
- Alberta-Nuevo Leon Innovation and Commercialization Program
- Alberta-China International Technology Partnership Program
Each program consists of rounds usually held once per calendar year. The rounds start with an information session, followed by face-to-face matchmaking and workshops for participating SMEs. The matchmaking and workshops are followed by the proposals for the matching grant program. Please refer to the program links above for details, dates and information.

The goal of a matchmaking event is to help Alberta SMEs find a suitable partner to participate in future International Technology Partnership Programs. Some travel support will be available to Alberta SMEs selected to attend the workshops.
Submit a company profile to be eligible, Alberta SMEs must complete a company profile. Profiles are reviewed and used to conduct a preliminary assessment for a potential partner match. Companies will be contacted directly regarding upcoming matchmaking events.

- Export-Readiness Micro-Vouchers
Our Export-Readiness Micro-Voucher provides up to $10,000 to offset the cost to hire a service provider to assist with the development of export related strategies.
