The Alberta Centre for Advanced Microsystems and Nanotechnology Products (ACAMP) is a unique industry led not-for-profit product development centre that advanced technology entrepreneurs depend on to move their innovation from proof-of-concept to manufactured product by providing access to interdisciplinary engineers, technology experts, specialized equipment and industry acumen. 

Alberta Innovates invests in ACAMP, as means to support, build and retain microsystem and nanotechnology capability and capacity in Alberta. 

Nanotechnology Development

ACAMP offers a wide range of subsidized services to Alberta small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. ACAMP is an open-use nano packaging and product development center to provide low volume manufacturing and testing facilities for entrepreneurs and industry partners. ACAMP’s role is to get products into the marketplace through careful planning, from concept to design, through development, testing and production.

ACAMP’s Objectives 

ACAMP offers a wide range of subsidized services to Alberta SMEs and entrepreneurs to achieve the following objectives::

  • Grow a globally competitive, critical mass of commercial micro and nanotechnology (MNT) device and technology companies Alberta
  • Fill existing gaps in the supply chain, infrastructure and human resources associated with the development of MNT devices in Alberta
  • Move Alberta companies up the value chain by enabling them to capture and retain more of the added value from Alberta MNT research
  • Leverage existing research and development and commercial MNT assets in Alberta
  • Build and retain MNT capability and capacity in Alberta.
