Enhancing Effectiveness of Private Land Conservation in the White Area: Targeted Research and Awareness-raising

The objective of the project is to improve awareness of private land conservation tools and other resources.

Working with our land trust, industry, and government partners the Corvus Centre will undertake research on species-at-risk and PLC, demand for conservation easements, land trust capacity, and national accounting of PPAs; develop guidance for siting of renewables, internal assessment of tools, and application of carbon markets; and create PLC resources for municipalities, real estate agents, government agencies, and interested landowners.

Outputs will include documents, datasets, web resources, web tools, and fact sheets. All results and resources will be publicly available, and will be formatted and distributed based on target audiences.
