We support Alberta innovators who are ready to commit to commercialization of their health innovation through funding and connections to partners.
Commercialization of health technologies is a complex, long and capital intensive and risk endeavor. Initial validation testing is just the start of a long journey for most health technologies as they subsequently navigate through rigorous clinical trials, regulatory approvals and additional jurisdictional specific evidence regarding the health economics and cost effectiveness to convince health systems to adopt and pay for it.
The Health Tech Commercialization portfolio is here to help! We specifically focus on supports for Alberta innovators that have demonstrated strong proof of concept through technical and market research and are now ready to commit to commercialization of their health innovation. Funding support programs and connections to partners through the Health Tech Commercialization portfolio, enable Alberta innovators to advance their Product-Market Fit, Business Readiness, Regulatory Compliance, and Product Development. We are here to support innovates to validate their product, secure regulatory approvals, and the evidence they need to access the healthcare market

Provides diagnostic innovators with access to expertise, biological samples, clinical data, lab and clinical trial resources, regulatory support, and health economics analysis to enable diagnostic user community connections across Canada and around the world.
Supports innovators to refine, revise and re-imagine their healthcare product or service. Providing custom simulations and connections to end-users for early customer feedback, useability testing, stress testing of clinical protocols and instructions for use, their team of experts will help expedite your commercialization timelines to get to market faster.
A physician angel investor/advisor group composed of a national team of 390+ physicians spanning over 40+ medical with an interest in advising high-potential, early-stage health-tech start-ups related to product market fit, clinical feasibility, physician end user feedback, and product medical validation.
Provides health innovators with early health economic research, analysis, and modeling to inform market viability, data collection strategies, and to quantify the business/adoption case for payers.
