The Crown Managers Partnership and many jurisdictional partners throughout the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem have developed a spatial restoration planning framework and tools to support recovery planning and restoration implementation for endangered whitebark and limber pines. This project aimed to adjust the initial tools based on recent field validation and implementation results, expand these models by adapting them to new limber and whitebark pine ecosystems outside of the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem by adjusting model parameters as required, and evaluate their effectiveness through similar validation methods (e.g., aerial surveys, ground-based surveys, monitoring implementation results).
