As we moved into the final countdown to Inventures 2021 later this month, it became clear that the fourth wave of COVID-19 has disrupted the lives and plans of people everywhere in the world, across the country and here in Alberta. This is what we heard repeatedly from sponsors, partners, speakers and guests. Our priority is to assure a safe environment for Inventures participants to enjoy an exceptional, live experience. With the comments of participants in mind, we made the decision to stand down Inventures 2021 from September 22-24 and focus our efforts on the June 2022 edition - just nine months away. Inventures brings together ideas, innovators and investors. It's about creating the right environment for deals to be made and partnerships to be struck. That's what Inventures has been doing since we launched in 2018. Planning is underway for 2022 with themes and ideas that offer new insights, new perspectives and new challenges that only innovation can solve.
