Doing Business with Alberta Innovates

The following are our business practices:

  • You should be cautious if you receive any communication that claims to be from Alberta Innovates outside our traditional communication channels, or from people you don’t know. Be especially on guard for requests for personal information such as a social insurance number (SIN), credit card number, bank account number, or requests for money in return for services or for other reasons.
  • Scams may use threatening language, scare you into thinking you owe money or will suffer some other adverse financial outcome if you don’t reply (commonly known as a “false debt”) and may provide links asking you to verify your information.
  • Although Alberta Innovates may communicate with you over email, Alberta Innovates will never demand money, ask you to provide sensitive personal information, offer gift cards, cryptocurrency or e-transfers over emails, or through social media, cryptocurrency, e-transfer or other means.

1. Acceptance

This website (the “Website”) is owned and managed by Alberta Innovates.  This page states the Terms and Conditions of Use under which you may access and use the Website and all information, material and other content, including, without limitation, the underlying HTML, articles, text, data, photographs, images, illustrations, designs, icons, audio clips, video clips, documents, products, and software, displayed on or contained within the Website (collectively, the “Material”).

By accessing and/or using the Website or the Material, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use.  If you do not accept or agree with these Terms and Conditions of Use, do not access or use the Website or the Material.

Alberta Innovates may revise these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time by updating this page.  You must visit this page each time that you visit the Website and review these Terms and Conditions of Use because they are binding upon you any time you access and use the Website or the Material.

Except as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions of Use, none of the Material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, modified, posted, presented, transmitted or otherwise exploited in any form or by any means (“Use”), without prior express written consent from Alberta Innovates, or in the case of licensed content the Government of Alberta, which consent may be withheld for any reason.

5. Trademarks and Official Marks

Alberta Innovates respects the privacy of visitors to the Website.  We maintain the Website to help the public find information about the programs and funding available from Alberta Innovates.  We are committed to ensuring your privacy while you visit the Website.  The following statement is to advise you how your personal information will be treated by us as you use the Website.

What personal information is collected when visiting the Website

In transit between your computer and the server, however, it may not be secure.
