Pilot Project for Catalytic Methane Pyrolysis for Zero-Emission Hydrogen and Synthetic Graphite Production

Innova Cleantech is piloting a dual-output technology that produces both hydrogen and high-purity synthetic graphite from natural gas, addressing North America’s growing demand for local, low-emission graphite—especially for EV battery manufacturing. The project, in partnership with ONEC Group, will finalize and test the reactor design, validate performance, and generate product samples for offtake agreements. If successful, it will demonstrate the technology’s commercial potential and support Alberta’s net-zero goals while positioning Innova as a key player in clean graphite production.
