New technology for well remediation and decommissioning

However, its limitations in challenging conditions —particularly in remediation and permanent plugging—are increasingly evident. With industry-wide risks tied to leaking wells, from environmental harm to financial liabilities, the demand for innovative solutions is growing. Alternative Barrier Materials show strong potential to improve sealing performance, reduce emissions, and enhance long-term well integrity.

This webinar, hosted by Innotech Alberta's Jonathan Heseltine, will spotlight the benefits, deployment strategies and real-world applications of three novel barrier technologies currently being explored.
