Overview

Access to learning opportunities that provide entrepreneurial experience is the key to empowering Albertans to participate in our province’s growing economy.

The goal is to help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset for their futures in a knowledge-based economy.

We expect the funded projects to have the following outcomes:

  • Develop an entrepreneurial mindset in Albertan students through the delivery of local and provincial programming.
  • Provide entrepreneurship education and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Cultivate a stronger entrepreneurial culture.

Eligible institutions are listed on the Government of Alberta web page linked below.

How To Apply

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Key Documents listed in the Intake Details section below.
  2. Contact the Senior Business Partner (see below) to share your project description and to ensure alignment to the program requirements.
  3. Visit SmartSimple. our online application portal.
  4. Select “Post Secondary Investments & Emerging Technologies (PSIET) under the “Funding Opportunities” tab on the portal dashboard.
  5. Complete the intake form.
  6. Submit it. You should submit your application a minimum of eight weeks before the activity start date.

Evaluation Process

During the different phases of the program, we leverage internal staff and external expert reviewers to evaluate the applications submitted. We evaluate promising applications that are aligned with meeting the program objectives as described in the Program Guide.
