Our day-to-day activities impact water resources in ways we are still learning about. As we develop and use new products to meet our needs, we also release new compounds back into the environment. Pharmaceuticals, microplastics, tire fragments and much more, are entering our rivers and lakes after being washed into stormwater sewers or flushed down the drain.
